City of Lexington issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
Posting this information again due to the dangerously frigid temps on tap for this week. Do not take this lightly. These temperatures are lower than we've seen in decades, and frost bite happens within minutes in this type of cold. If you HAVE to travel, please be sure to fill up your gas tank and bring lots of warm clothing/blankets with you should you get stranded. It looks to begin Tuesday evening and last through Thursday. Stay safe, Lexingtonians!
WINTER EMERGENCY REQUEST
In order to be better prepared to serve the community in the event of a winter emergency, Dan McDaniels, Director of Lexington’s Emergency Management Agency, is requesting information from the public.
If there is anyone in our community with special health concerns (dialysis, oxygen, medical equipment requiring electricity, pregnancies with winter due dates, insulin etc) please contact City Hall with the vital information so that emergency workers can be of assistance should it be required.
Specific information needed would be:

Specific health concern
Neighbor’s name and phone
