Books

City of Lexington issued the following announcement on May 8.

The Lexington Public Library will be opening for pickup service only beginning May 11, 2020.

Patrons will be able to place holds on items by either emailing the library at LexingtonL@yahoo.com or by calling (309)365-7801. The checkout limit is a total of 5 books, audiobooks, or magazines per household.

You can see what items are currently available in our catalog by using the "Search Catalog" function on the home page of our website.

You will receive a call when your items are ready for pickup. Once you arrive, please call us and we will place your items on a table in the main entry way. We ask that you wear a mask or face covering when you come in to collect your items.

All items will have an extended due date of June 12, 2020. We are not allowing the checkout of movies at this time.

Please return all items via the book drop.

Once it is safe to allow patrons inside the Library this service will be discontinued.

We look forward to hearing from you!
