Analysis: Pontiac pays $3.75 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Pontiac Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79 percent of the $508,100 the Pontiac Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.75 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McLean County Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Pontiac contributed $401,220 to the fund, which saw a $12,579 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $106,879, or 21 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
