Lexington Fire Protection District responded to 55 calls in 2018 - 5.2 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Lexington included 43 fires - 22 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 14 other fires.

The department also received 12 false calls.

The Lexington Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $354,210 in 2018.
