Le Roy Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Mar. 12.

FOR: Persons age 65 and over who have not received the first vaccine.
I do not yet know which of the vaccines will be available here, but will post as soon as I’m told. The date set for the second vaccine will be scheduled by the Health Department once the brand of vaccine is determined.
The clinic will be staffed by McLean County Health Department employees and volunteers. I have a list of local volunteers that I may need to call on for help with transportation and traffic control, if needed.
So that you don’t have to navigate the online scheduling system, I am going to set up the appointments myself. To reserve your space, please do the following:
Call my cell (309-660-3866) beginning on Friday, March 12, and any day after, from noon until 7:00 pm. only. Do not leave a message. If the phone is busy, try again in a few minutes. It won’t take more than a minute or two to schedule your appointment. There will be 200 doses available, so I can take that many reservations.
