Village Of Odell Village Board Trustee met Feb. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday February 14, 2022 a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Brian Mills presiding and with proper notice having been posted.

Roll Call

Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell

Minutes of the January 10, 2022 Regular Board Meeting

Approval of the Minutes of the January 10, 2022 Regular Board Meeting was tabled.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer’s Report is tabled until next meeting. An unreconciled report of account balances as of January 31, 2022 was submitted for review as follows:

Board Listing Report #156 ran on February 14, 2022 at 1:34pm representing all due bills for the Village due in February; and Board Listing Report #157 ran on February 14, 2022 at 1:55pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in February; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $11,892.39.

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve Board Listing Report #156 ran on February 14, 2022 at 1:34pm representing all due bills for the Village due in February; and Board Listing Report #157 ran on February 14, 2022 at 1:55pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in February; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $11,892.39; second by Trustee Biernat;

Police Report

Sgt. Bunting from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office presented the January Police Activity Report.

OLD BUSINESS:

Annual Water/Sewer Rate Amendment

Trustee Tom Russell moved to approve the Amendment to the Water Ordinance setting $24.00 for the first 2,600 gallons of water used and $8.65 for each 1,000 gallons used in excess of 2,600 gallons, effective immediately; second by Trustee Rodney Morris;

Yeas: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell – 5;

Nays: None

Trustee Tom Russell moved to approve the Amendment to the Sewer Ordinance setting the basic user rate at a minimum of $14.95 for the first 2,600 gallons and $5.75 per 1,000 gallons beyond the first 2,600 gallons used; second by Trustee Rodney Morris;

Miscellaneous Old Business

Attorney Ehrgott reported that the Village is not eligible to participate in the Opioid Crisis Class Action Lawsuit

An extension of the cleanup of 109 N Front Street was requested

Mayor Mills updated the Board on the status of the Proposed New Generator

Show Bus Donation Request

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to donate $300.00 to Show Bus; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

Yeas: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell – 5;

Nays: None

Variance Request 401 E Prairie St

Trustee Rodney Morris moved to send the Variance Request for 401 E Prairie St to the Zoning Board of Appeals; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

Yeas: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell – 5;

Nays: None

No new Miscellaneous business was brought before the board.
