Hudson Area Public Library District Board of Trustees met Oct. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Truth in Taxation Hearing was held at 6:15 pm. Board members present were Ronda Hess, Kevin Segerstrom, and Erin Corbin. Dianne Feasley was present in the library. Also present was Library Director Jenny Losey. No members of the public attended the hearing. 

The regular meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Rinda. Members present Nancy Rinda, Ronda Hess, Corey Burgess, Dianne Feasley, Kevin Segerstrom and Erin Corbin. Library Director Jenny Losey was also present. 

A motion to accept the September 13, 2022 meeting minutes as amended was made by Dianne Feasley and seconded by Kevin Segerstrom. 

Jenny Losey reviewed the Director's Report. She reviewed her last year's goals and presented goals for the next year. 

Treasurer's Report 

Dianne Feasley reviewed the Treasurer's report. 

Kevin Segerstrom moved to accept the Treasurer's Monthly Expense Report as presented. Cory Burgess seconded. 

The Board reviewed the year-to-date financial reports. 

Secretary's Report 

Dianne Feasley made the motion to adopt Levy Ordinance 2022-2023-04. Seconded by Kevin Segerstrom. The open outcry vote was unanimous. 

President's Report 

Nothing to report at this time 

Old Business 

Losey, Gwen Whitacre and Erin Corbin meet with building consultant Fred Schlipf about a future library expansion. The Board reviewed a proposal from Fred Schlipf for consulting services. A decision has been tabled until January. 

New Business 

The Board reviewed the employee definitions of Exempt/Non-Exempt Employees. 

The first meeting of the Decennial Committee will be at the November 8 meeting. 

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, November 8th at 6:30 pm. 

Meeting was adjourned at 7:15 pm.
