Forget Me Not Flowers is expanding with the acquisition of Beck’s Family Florist as of January 3rd, 2023.  “The purchase of Beck’s stellar business made complete sense for Forget Me Not Flowers; we were looking for ways to improve our business.  When the opportunity arose to purchase Beck’s, we did not hesitate.”  Dan and Kristy Moore, along with their children Gina and Justin, purchased Forget Me Not Flowers back in 2021.  The Moore’s have been working hard to understand, improve and update Forget Me Not Flowers while keeping the confidence with our customers and the community.    
 
“Beck’s Family Florist has the highest reputation for beauty and customer service just like Forget Me Not Flowers.  We admire Gaye, her work ethic, talent and knowledge of this business.  It’s a perfect union, bringing her business to ours.”   After 39 years of success, Gaye Beck, owner of Beck’s Family Florist, has decided it’s time to retire and enjoy life.  Ms. Beck has been an integral part of Bloomington’s business landscape, active in the community and rotary for decades. 
 
Beck’s Family Florist will today become a part of Forget Get Me Not Flowers, another 40-year veteran of the floral business.   Forget Me Not Flowers and Beck’s Family Florist will be merging the stores over at the Towanda Plaza location; there were a few elements that tipped the scales to keeping the 1208 Towanda Ave store and combining the two businesses there.   The store will still offer the same great offering of floral arrangements, home décor, bereavement with the great customer service.  The Moore’s have a few new business ideas for 2023, adding Beck’s is a major milestone item.  The Moore’s also own Uptown Gifts and Accessories in Normal.
 
Don’t be surprised when you call Forget Me Not Flowers or Beck’s Family Florist, the plan is to honor both businesses in our salutation: “Hello!  This is Forget Me Not Flowers with Beck’s Family Florist.  How can we help you?”  It’s a mouthful but it’s so worth it to honor both legacy businesses for this community.  
 
Forget Me Not Flowers with Beck’s Family Florist is open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and 8:30am to 12noon on Saturdays.  Same day delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of the store.
