McLean County Times

There were 49 offenders living in McLean County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McLean County Times.

The data shows 42 men and seven women were released in McLean County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2021, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2021.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Keiahty K. Jones. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2008 when he was 22 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
