Q4 2021 Recap: 4 parolees from McLean County convicted of financial crimes or fraud set for release

There were four offenders convicted of financial crimes or fraud living in McLean County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the McLean County Times.

The data shows three men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for financial crimes or fraud was 40. The youngest parolee was a 35-year-old man sentenced in 2020, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man sentenced in 2021.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was James Leshore. He was convicted in 2020 when he was 40 years old. He is now 42.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
