Woodland Community Unit School District 5 Board of Education met April 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Board of Education of the Woodland CUSD#5 held a Regular Meeting on April 19, 2023, at 6:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by Eric Sass

Answering roll call were:

Jeremy Adams, Rebecca Sterling, Dan Reinmann, Eric Perhach , Eric Sass

Also, present were Dr. Ryan McGuckin, Superintendent, Dan Borio Technology Director, Jacob Burcenski Principal

It was moved by Eric Perhach and seconded by Dan Reinmann to have Jeremy Adams as Secretary Pro-Temp for the evening. Roll call: all yeas 5 yeas and 0 nays. The motion carried.

Pat Simpson regarding concerns with 7th grade grandson and another student with bullying

CONSENT AGENDA

It was moved by Eric Perhach and seconded by Rebecca Sterling that the Board of Education approve the Consent Agenda. Roll call: all yeas 5 yeas and 0 nays. The motion carried.

It was moved by Eric Perhach and seconded by Dan Reinmann to enter executive session at 7:58 PM to consider the following: Roll call: all yeas 5 yeas and 0 nays. The motion carried.

Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under the Open Meetings Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21).

14.2 It was moved by Eric Perhach and seconded by Dan Reinmann to approve Jill Bressner as Special Education Teacher for the 2023-24 school year

14.3 It was moved by Jeremy Adams and seconded by Eric Sass to approve the resignation of Nate Hayner as HS Boys Basketball Assistant Coach

Roll call: all yeas 5 yeas and 0 nays. The motion carried.

14.4 It was moved by Jeremy Adams and seconded by Dan Reinmann to approve Shaun Johnson as HS Boys Basketball Assistant Coach for the 2023-24 season
