Town of Normal Liquor Commission met Jan. 16.

1. CALL TO ORDER:
Liquor Commission Member McCarthy called the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission to order at 6:56 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
2. ROLL CALL:
The Secretary called the roll with the following persons physically
PRESENT: Commission Members Kevin McCarthy, Kathleen Lorenz, Scott Preston, Karyn Smith, and Chemberly Harris.
ABSENT: Commissioner Chris Koos and Commission Member Andy Byars.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: SPECIAL MEETING – DECEMBER 4, 2023:
MOTION:
Ms. Harris moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, the Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission of December 4, 2023, be Approved.
AYES: Lorenz, Harris, Smith, McCarthy.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Preston, Byars, Koos.
Motion declared carried.
Commission Member Scott Preston arrived at 6:57 p.m.
4. 2023-24 VIDEO GAMING APPLICATION: PIZZA PAYAA TWO, LLC., d/b/a Pizza Payaa Uptown, 107 E. Beaufort St, Suite C, Normal, IL:
MOTION:
Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Ms. Harris, recommending the approval of a Video Gaming License to PIZZA PAYAA TWO, LLC., d/b/a Pizza Payaa Uptown, 107 E. Beaufort Street, Suite C, Normal, Illinois contingent on the payment of video gaming fees and any Inspections Division, or Normal Building Inspection Department.
AYES: Harris, Smith, McCarthy, Lorenz, Preston.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Byars, Koos.
Motion declared carried.
Commission Member Kathleen Lorenz questioned whether the item was a renewal or a new application and requested additional information about the video gaming application procedure. Town Clerk Angie Huonker explained the video gaming application procedure.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, Commission Member McCarthy called for a Motion to Adjourn.
MOTION:
Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Preston, the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission be Adjourned.
AYES: Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Lorenz, Harris.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Byars, Koos.
Motion declared carried.
Commission Member McCarthy adjourned the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission at 7:02 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
