For the second consecutive season, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The AVCA announced this accolade on Wednesday, July 17. This recognition marks the fourth time in the program's history that the Titans have received this honor.

The award, established in 1992, acknowledges collegiate and high school volleyball teams (men/women, boys/girls, indoor/beach) that have demonstrated academic excellence by maintaining a minimum cumulative team grade point average of 3.30 during the school year. Eight institutions from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin achieved this distinction.

The Titans had a notable academic year, with seniors Lily Summers (Plainfield, Ill.-Plainfield North) and Taylor Babec (Joliet, Ill.-Plainfield Central) representing Illinois Wesleyan on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. Additionally, eight members of the 2023 squad earned Academic All-CCIW honors.

Illinois Wesleyan is scheduled to commence its 2024 season on Friday, August 30 against Mount St. Joseph University at the Wittenberg Fall Classic.
