The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team demonstrated strong performance on the opening day of the IWU Fall Classic at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois. The senior quartet of Kylie Hundman, Jadyn Spinks, Macy Ludwig, and Jacque O'Neill led the Titans to a score of 296, placing them second among 19 teams.
Kylie Hundman achieved a career-best two-under 70 with four birdies. She is tied for second in the individual standings, one stroke behind WashU's Tiffany Chan. Jadyn Spinks carded an even-par 72 and is tied for fifth as the top performer on Illinois Wesleyan's 'B' team.
Macy Ludwig recorded a one-over par 73 with a birdie on her final hole, tying for tenth place. Jacque O'Neill finished three-over par with a score of 76, placing her nineteenth.
WashU leads the team competition with a three-under 285. Grinnell holds third place at 297, while St. Mary's stands fourth with a score of 305. Both UW-Whitewater and Illinois Wesleyan's 'B' team are tied for fifth at 309.
