The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team secured a second-place finish at the NCAA Division III Preview, held at Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor, NY. The team posted a four-over 292 on Monday, September 23.

Senior Griffin Pohl led the Titans with a ninth-place finish, carding a final round of 73 and totaling 211 for the tournament. Junior Aidan Healy and senior Quinn Clifford both recorded final rounds of 74 to tie for 12th place at 212. Junior Juney Bai had the best round of the day for Illinois Wesleyan with a one-under 71, finishing tied for 18th at 214.

Emory University won the event with an overall score of 31-under par (833). Illinois Wesleyan followed in second place with a score of 845. Methodist University placed third at 847, Washington & Lee took fourth at 848, and Carnegie Mellon rounded out the top five with a score of 853. Methodist's Aiden Spampinato earned medalist honors by finishing at 17-under par (199).

Illinois Wesleyan will next compete in the Wabash Invite in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 7-8 at Broadmoor Country Club.
