Illinois Wesleyan University freshman golfer Grace Fagan has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Golfer of the Week. The announcement came on October 2, 2024, following her first collegiate victory.
Fagan, who hails from Kirkwood, Missouri, and attended Visitation Academy, achieved this recognition after winning the Dechert Classic over the weekend of September 27-28. Her performance included rounds of seven-over and ten-over par, resulting in a total score of 161. This win also marked her first top-10 finish in her college career.
She is the first freshman from Illinois Wesleyan to receive this weekly honor since Macy Ludwig did so on September 21, 2021.
Looking ahead, Illinois Wesleyan's women's golf team will compete in the CCIW Championship at Metamora Fields from October 3-5. Live scoring for the event will be available through Clippd with results posted daily on iwusports.com.
