Illinois State prepares for key game against Southern Illinois

The Illinois State football team is preparing for a significant matchup against Southern Illinois this Saturday. The Redbirds, currently ranked No. 18, aim to secure their third consecutive victory against FCS teams from Illinois. This upcoming game will take place in Carbondale against the No. 19 ranked Salukis.

Ahead of the game, ISU head coach Brock Spack will discuss strategies and expectations on "The Brock Spack Show." The show, presented by Redbird Ale, will be broadcast live from Schooners in Bloomington at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

During the show, Coach Spack will engage in conversation with John Fitzgerald, the voice of Redbird football play-by-play, and Ted Schmitz, a seasoned color analyst. They will review last week's performance against North Dakota State and look ahead to the contest with Southern Illinois. Special guests for this episode include linebacker Lavoise-Deontae McCoy and wide receivers coach Mickey Turner.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington near Clinton Boulevard. Fans unable to attend can listen to the broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM or stream it live via GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Segments of the show will also air on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
