The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team has concluded its 2024 season, and head coach Dennis Martel announced the team's award recipients. The Titans finished the season with a 23-16 record. Their final game in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament ended with a 7-4 loss against Carthage College. In regular-season play, the Titans secured third place with a conference record of 12-8, achieving sweeps over Carroll and Carthage.

Junior catcher Tyler Woltman from Wheaton, Illinois, received the Defensive Player of the Year award for his contributions on the field. Throughout the season, Woltman accumulated 209 putouts and made 23 assists while maintaining a .987 fielding percentage. He also caught eight runners attempting to steal bases. His performance earned him a spot on the Second Team All-CCIW based on his conference play.

Senior Louis Perona and junior Justin Gadomski were both honored as Most Valuable Players for their significant roles in the team's success.

Perona served as centerfielder throughout the season and was instrumental as a leadoff hitter. The Chicago native achieved a .368 batting average, ranking third highest on the team. He led in OPS (1.038), triples (2), and slugging percentage (.544). Notably, Perona committed no errors in the field while recording 73 putouts. His flawless fielding percentage helped secure him a place on the Second Team All-CCIW.

Gadomski played an essential role at shortstop this season as second in the lineup. With a batting average of .372, he was second on his team while leading IWU in at-bats (156), hits (58), doubles (13), RBI (32), and total bases (82). On defense, Gadomski had 51 putouts and made 109 assists. His efforts were recognized with selection to First Team All-CCIW due to his outstanding conference performance.
