The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team, ranked fourth nationally, is tied for fifth place after the second day of competition at the Golfweek October Classic. The event is being held at the Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida. The Titans posted a score of 287 in the second round on the par-71 course, bringing their total to 567.
Junior Michael Spitzer achieved a four-under-par score of 67 in the second round, placing him in a tie for 19th position on the individual leaderboard with a total of 141. Senior Quinn Clifford also holds a tie for 19th after scoring a three-over-par 74 in his second round.
Junior Aidan Healy maintained an even par in his second round, advancing him to a tie for 30th place with a score of 143.
Washington and Lee University, ranked sixth, leads the team standings after posting an impressive second-round score of 268. Their cumulative score stands at 542. Sewanee, ranked twenty-first, has dropped to second place with a total score of 552.
