In a recent episode of Titan Table Talk, two student-athletes from Illinois Wesleyan University were featured for their contributions beyond sports. The show, available on iwusports.com and other platforms, provides a weekly glimpse into the lives and initiatives of athletes.

The episode began with sophomore women's lacrosse player Chloe Heyl discussing her involvement with Athlete Ally, a national program supporting LGBTQ+ athletes. "The Illinois Wesleyan Chapter is only the 20th in the nation," Chloe said. She serves as President and founding member of this chapter, which held its first meeting this fall.

Later in the episode, senior track and field athlete Franchesca Smith shared her experiences with the Black Student Athlete Association. This registered student organization was founded by Franchesca during her sophomore year in the spring semester.

Both athletes are making significant impacts on campus through their leadership roles in these organizations.
