A trio of athletes from Illinois Wesleyan University is set to compete in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The event, scheduled for May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium, will feature sophomore Evan Lowder, junior Carlyssa King, and freshman Imani Ogunribido.

Evan Lowder will participate in the men's 400-meter dash. His preliminary race is on Friday at 5:15 p.m. ET with finals following on Saturday at 5:20 p.m. ET. This marks Lowder's second appearance at an NCAA meet after achieving a Second Team All-American status during the Indoor Championships earlier this year. He qualified for the event with a time of 47.17 seconds at the Huntsman Family Invite on April 6, ranking him 13th among competitors.

Carlyssa King will make her first nationals appearance in the women's hammer throw on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. King achieved her qualifying mark with a personal best of 53.05 meters during the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships held on May 4.

Imani Ogunribido enters the women's triple jump competition as a Second Team All-American finisher from indoor nationals earlier this year. Her competition begins Saturday at 3:45 p.m. ET with a top mark of 12.30 meters that earned her an NCAA bid and set a new CCIW meet record.

The championships are co-hosted by Coastal Carolina University and the City of Myrtle Beach and commence on Thursday, May 23.
