The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team concluded its participation in the Peacock Classic on Sunday, January 22. The event was hosted by Upper Iowa University in Waterloo, Iowa. Over three days, teams competed in five baker match games, five traditional games, and a best-of-seven baker match for the championship bracket on Sunday.
Illinois Wesleyan finished ninth overall with a total pinfall of 7,450. Newman University secured first place, followed by Lewis University and Upper Iowa in second and third places respectively.
A notable achievement for the Titans was setting a program-best team baker total pinfall of 767 over five games against Newman. Their game scores were 159, 123, 151, 189, and 145.
Freshman Kiera Henderson from Silvis, Illinois achieved a personal-best total pinfall of 807 over five games. She led her team and placed 20th individually out of a field of 60 bowlers.
Next up for the Titans is the Columbia 300 Saints Invite in Valley Park, Missouri from January 27 to January 29. This event will be hosted by Maryville College.
