Illinois Wesleyan women’s bowling team places nineteenth at Warhawk Open

The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team participated in the Warhawk Open at Stardust Lanes in Addison, Illinois, over the weekend of December 7-8. The Titans secured 19th place overall in the competition.

Junior Keira Henderson from Silvis, Illinois, led the team by finishing 67th in individual play. On Saturday, she achieved a total pinfall of 764 across five games with scores of 161, 143, 151, 135, and a final game high of 174.

Freshman Sapphire Bankston-Hunter from North Chicago had the second-highest pinfall for Illinois Wesleyan with a score of 561. Her highest individual game score was 137, placing her at 104th.

Neveah Porter from Appleton recorded a career-high total pinfall of 524 with a game-high score of 124. Sophomores Joanna Steven and Bella Horvath finished in positions 123rd and 130th with pinfalls of 444 and 375 respectively.

The team's performance through twelve baker games resulted in a total pinfall of 3909. Mount Mercy University won the event with a total pinfall of 7324.

Looking ahead, the Titans will compete again after the new year at the Kegel/ISBPA Classic on January 18-19. They will return to Stardust Lanes for this upcoming event.
