Imani Ogunribido, a sophomore at Illinois Wesleyan University, has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Field Athlete of the Week. This announcement was made by the league office on Wednesday, December 11.
Ogunribido's latest accolade follows her record-breaking performance in the season opener for Illinois Wesleyan University's women's track and field team. She set a new school record in the indoor triple jump with a mark of 12.11 meters (39'8.75") during her first attempt at the Titan First Chance event on December 7. This achievement not only leads the CCIW but also stands as the top mark in Division III nationwide this season.
This is Ogunribido's third time receiving this weekly honor from CCIW, having previously earned it twice last season on February 7 and April 17.
Last year, as a freshman at the 2024 CCIW Indoor Championships, Ogunribido matched the previous school record of 12.07 meters set by Jill Harmon in 2015.
The women's track and field team will resume competition after the new year when they host the I-55 Invite on January 18.
