Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball climbs to No. 9 in latest D3hoops.com rankings

A recent victory has propelled the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team to the ninth position in the D3hoops.com Top-25 poll. The Titans achieved an 86-68 win over Elmhurst University, enhancing their overall record to 8-1 and improving their standing in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin to 2-1.

The top positions in the poll remain unchanged from the previous week. Emory leads with 612 points and 17 first-place votes, followed by WashU with five first-place votes and 588 points. Trinity (Conn.) holds third place with 522 points and two top votes, while Trine and UW-Platteville are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan is set to play against No. 2 WashU on Thursday, December 19th at the Shirk Center. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

The D3hoops.com Top-25 is determined by a panel of coaches, Sports Information Directors, and media members from across the nation. Points are allocated on a descending scale starting from 25.
