Illinois State University and North Alabama have announced a change in their 2025 football schedule. The game, originally set for September 27 at Hancock Stadium, will now take place on September 20 at noon Central Time.
This adjustment also affects the Family Weekend planned at Illinois State. Initially scheduled for the weekend of September 26-28, it will now coincide with the football game on the weekend of September 19-21. Following this rescheduling, Illinois State's Redbirds will have a bye week on September 27 before they face North Dakota State at home on October 4 in their Missouri Valley Football Conference opener.
The Redbirds' season kicks off against Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, Oklahoma, on August 30. They are slated to play six home games within a 12-game schedule for the season. Details about season ticket packages are expected soon and can be found on GoRedbirds.com or through Illinois State football's social media channels.
Season tickets for the 2025 Illinois State Football season will be available starting February 17. For inquiries regarding Family Weekend or ticket requests, Nathaniel Smith, Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Generation, can be contacted at (309) 438-3803.
