Illinois State University's women's tennis team is set to face Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday. The match will take place at the Sprovieri Tennis Complex at 2 p.m.
In their previous outing, Illinois State secured victories in a doubleheader against Western Illinois and the University of Illinois Springfield. The Redbirds won by scores of 4-3 and 6-1, respectively, achieving eight singles wins and three doubles victories across both matches.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings have recognized the Redbirds' doubles pair Elena Jankulovska and Nuria Sanz. They are currently ranked No. 117 with a score of 4.71.
Marquette University, part of the Big East Conference, recently defeated Providence College with a score of 5-2 at the same venue where they will meet Illinois State.
Following their match against Marquette, the Redbirds will travel to New York City for matches against Fordham University and St. John's University on February 7th and 8th. These matches will be held at the USTA National Tennis Center.
