The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team is set to face Elmhurst University on Saturday, February 1st. The game will take place at R.A. Faganel Hall in Elmhurst, Illinois, with a scheduled tipoff at 4:15 p.m. This matchup follows three consecutive home games for the Titans and marks the beginning of a series of three away games.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the contest with an impressive record of 17-2 overall and 9-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Their recent victory over Carroll University was hard-fought, requiring overtime to secure a win. "The Titans required overtime to top Carroll Wednesday night, Jan. 29," states a release from the university.

Elmhurst University comes into this game with a record of 9-10 overall and stands even at 5-5 in conference play. The Bluejays recently defeated Wheaton College on January 29th.

Senior Hakim Williams played a crucial role in IWU's latest victory against Carroll by recording four blocks, tying him for the most blocks by an IWU player since January 2022. "Williams... became just the 13th Titan to notch four-or-more blocks in a game in program history," as noted by IWU.

Another key player for Illinois Wesleyan is Marko Anderson, who has shown consistent performance during overtime periods. He has scored significant points and rebounds during these critical moments.

Coach Ron Rose leads Illinois Wesleyan into his 18th season with an overall record of 342-160. Under his guidance, the Titans have secured multiple CCIW titles over recent years.

Saturday's game also serves as Elmhurst University's Coaches vs. Cancer event. Fans can follow live stats and stream coverage provided by Elmhurst, while Eric Stock and Joel Swanson will cover the radio broadcast on WESN.
