Village of Cullom Board of Trustees met Dec. 23.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Mayor Hahn called the December 23, 2024 Regular Meeting of the Cullom Village Board to order at 7.00 p.m. at the Village Hall.

Members Present: Hahn, Flessner, Mills, Berens, Rock, Krause, Jehle and J. Meister

Absent: K. Meister

Also Present: Attorney Schrock and Jonkman

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: All present took part in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

Minutes: Motion to accept by consent agenda, the November 26, 2024 Regular Meeting minutes was made by Mills/Berens - M/C

Public: None

Attorney Report: Information has been received from Attorney Ludwig

Employee Reports:

Spangler:

  • Completed 4 Julie's
  • Completed Daily Samples
  • Completed water shutoffs with the exception of 220 W Jeffery because of an obstructed shutoff
  • Investigated a water leak at the corner of Hack and Ash. It was on the village side and Kafer's patched the leak
  • Started training Rodney
DuVall:

  • Has worked with ADT about park cameras
  • Water billing
Jonkman:

  • Repaired stop sign
  • Cleaning up Maintenance Building
  • Cleared snow from Main Street sidewalks
  • Being trained with water equipment
Committee Reports: None

Clerk Report: Krause/Jehle made the motion to pay the monthly bills, totaling $63,648.66. All voted in favor by voice vote and M/C

Treasurer Report: Rock/Berens made the motion to accept the treasurer report. All voted in favor and M/C

Old Business:

  • Un-Sewered Community Grant - Waiting on tribal letters
  • Iron Tank Replacement Project - Scheduled to begin on January 7, 2025
  • Tile Rehab/Repair Project – Waiting on letter to be sent to Casey's Corporate 
  • IDNRI Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Grant - Grant was received for $600,000
  • East Van Alstyne Water Main Loop Project - Scheduled to begin on January 6, 2025 
  • MCC Boring Permit - J. Meister will follow up with Ludwig
  • Well #4 Generator - Pad is installed and waiting for generator to arrive
  • 126 W Hack Street Property: Waiting to do a walk-through when papers are completed
  • Belltown Farm Lease: Check is on the way
  • Sand Filter Maintenance: Waiting on information from Kafer
  • Waterline Repair to Meegan Property: Waiting on information from Kafer
New Business:

  • Property Concrete Barricades: Waiting on information from Kafer
Any Other Business:

  • Audit should be finished soon
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm
