The Illinois State men's tennis team faced a defeat against Lipscomb University in Nashville. The match, held at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center, concluded with a 5-2 score in favor of Lipscomb.

Lipscomb secured the doubles point by winning matches at No. 2 and No. 3 positions. In singles play, Illinois State managed to secure victories at No. 1 and No. 3 positions. Adrian Dibildox triumphed over Szymczak from Lipscomb in a three-set match with scores of 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 at the top spot. Christian Capacci also claimed victory for Illinois State by defeating Lombisano in a tie-breaker with scores of 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 (8).

In doubles competition, the pairing of Tomas Valencia and Adrian Dibildox was close but unfinished against Perlov and Lombisano from Lipscomb with a score of 5-4 when the match ended.
