Village of Gridley Village Board met Feb. 3.

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Gridley was held at the Village Hall on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. Jeff Benedict opened with a word of prayer.
President Benedict called the meeting to order and directed the Clerk to call roll, and upon roll call, the following Trustees answered present: Michael Finck, Richard Martin, Susan Laiming, Jay Kiefer and Mick Finck. Absent was: Kevin Krones. Quorum present. Also present, employee Mark Peterson.
Jeff asked if there were any corrections or additions to the January meeting minutes. There were none. Jay made a motion to approve the minutes and Michael seconded the motion. Roll call: Michael Finck-yea, Martin-yea, Laiming-yea, Kiefer-yea, Mick Finck-yea. Motion carried.
Board reviewed the “Bills received by Clerk.” There were no additions. Susan made a motion to approve the bills and payroll. Mick seconded the motion. Roll call: Michael Finck-yea, Martin-yea, Laiming-yea, Kiefer-yea, Mick Finck-yea. Motion carried.
Trustees reviewed the Treasurer’s report. After discussion, Mick made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report. Jay seconded. All trustees answered in the affirmative.
Susan presented a quote for a new Ferris ISX3300 60” mower from Stoller International. The new mower is priced at $16,900.00. The two 2022 Ferris ISX3300 have a trade-in value of $5,500.00 each. With trade-in, cost would be $5,900.00. After discussion, Susan made a motion to trade in the two 2022 mowers and purchase one 2025 mower. Mick seconded. Roll call: Michael Finck-yea, Martin-yea, Laiming-yea, Kiefer-yea, Mick Finck-yea. Motion carried.
Jeff reported that the little league ball field is in need of diamond mix for the infield. Estimated cost for one load would be around $1,200.00. After discussion, Mick made a motion to purchase one load of diamond mix. Susan seconded. Roll call: Michael Finck-yea, Martin-yea, Laiming-yea, Kiefer-yea, Mick Finck-yea. Motion carried.
Mick made a motion to adjourn. Jay seconded. Roll call: Michael Finck-yea, Martin-yea, Laiming-yea, Kiefer yea, Mick Finck-yea. Motion carried.
