The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team faced a setback in their non-conference match against Greenville University on Saturday, April 12. The Titans were defeated 6-1, which brings their season record to 8-11, while Greenville improved to a 10-6 overall standing.
In doubles, sophomores Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell managed a victory at No. 1 doubles with a score of 7-6. However, Greenville clinched the doubles point with wins in No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
In singles, senior Kate Christian achieved the only point for Illinois Wesleyan with a win against Callie Adkins, recording scores of 7-6 and 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
Looking ahead, Illinois Wesleyan is set to return to conference play. The Titans will compete against North Park University in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday, April 24. The league tournament, hosted by Millikin University, will take place at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois.
