Illinois Wesleyan secures six USTFCCCA All-Region awards ahead of NCAA championships

Days before the 2025 NCAA Division III Track and Field National Championships, Illinois Wesleyan University's track and field teams received six All-Region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The selections were announced on Tuesday, May 20.

To qualify for these awards, athletes must rank in their region's top five in an event or be part of a top-three ranked relay team.

Junior Evan Lowder from Bloomington, Illinois achieved all-region recognition with the Midwest region's fastest time in the men's 400-meter at 46.55 seconds. His performance ranks fifth nationally. This is Lowder's fourth outdoor all-region award.

Sophomore Imani Ogunribido from Hanover Park, Illinois earned all-region honors with her second-best mark in the Midwest for the women's triple jump at 12.57 meters, ranking fourth nationally this season.

Senior Lauren Huber from Lombard, Illinois received her first all-region nod with 4821 points in the women's heptathlon, placing fourth in the Midwest and 11th nationally.

Senior Carlyssa King from Decatur, Illinois tied for fifth place in the Midwest Region with a throw of 53.94 meters in one of the strongest regions for throwing events. This is King's first all-region award as her throw ranks 11th nationally heading into the national meet.

Senior Annalese Chudy from Libertyville, Illinois finished her senior season earning an all-region nod in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:52.47, placing fourth regionally.

Freshman Nick Walker from Metamora, Illinois earned his second all-region nod in men's high jump with a mark tying for third-best at 2.03 meters in the Midwest Region.

Lowder, Ogunribido, Huber, King along with junior Adriana Crabtree will represent their university at Geneva's SPIRE Institute during May 22-24 for NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
