The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is set to host the top-ranked Washington University in St. Louis for a midweek match at Neis Field on Tuesday, September 3, with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the contest after a narrow defeat against Simpson College on August 29. In that match, senior Jenna Gravitt scored her second career goal in the 58th minute as the Titans attempted to recover from an early two-goal deficit. Sophomore goalkeeper Ella Randall played the full game and matched her career-high with 11 saves. The Titans ultimately fell short, losing 2-1.

Washington University arrives in Bloomington following a national championship and an undefeated season in 2024. The Bears are currently unbeaten in their last 26 matches and opened their new campaign with an 8-0 victory over Westminster on August 29, featuring goals from seven different players.

In their historical series, Illinois Wesleyan trails Washington University with a record of six wins, fourteen losses, and five draws. The most recent meeting between the teams resulted in a 4-0 win for WashU on September 17, 2024, in St. Louis.

The match will begin at Neis Field at 5 p.m., with live statistics and streaming available online.
