The Illinois State men's golf team is set to participate in its third tournament of the season at the Purdue Fall Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana. The event will take place from Sunday, September 22 to Monday, September 23 at the Kampen Course. The field includes four Big Ten schools and two Big East schools.

In addition to the main Invitational, a separate Individual tournament will be hosted concurrently at the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course.

The participating teams for the Purdue Fall Invitational include Ball State, Butler, Indiana, Illinois State, Iowa, Marquette, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Purdue, Purdue Fort Wayne, Southern Illinois, Toledo, VCU, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.

The Redbird lineup consists of Aiden Cudney starting at hole 10; Alex McCulla at hole 11B; TJ Barger at hole 11A; Pietro Pontiggia at hole 12; and Max Faucquez at hole 13. They will be golfing alongside Northern Illinois, Butler and VCU.

This marks the fourth consecutive fall that the Redbirds have competed in this event. Since their first participation in fall 2021, they have placed sixth (2021), tenth (2022) and second (2023). Last year's tournament was held at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course while Kampen Course was being prepared for an upcoming NCAA Regional.

The Kampen Course is a Pete Dye-designed championship golf course featuring large bent-grass greens and fairways. It includes vast sand bunkers and native grasslands over its par-72 layout with a yardage of over 7,400 yards from the championship tees.

For the Purdue Fall Individual event held simultaneously on September 22-23 at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course (par-71), Francis Bautista will tee off at 8:20 a.m. CT followed by Will Troy at 8:30 a.m. CT.
