Illinois State Men's Tennis team began their season at the Seventh Annual Redbird Invitational, securing 11 victories on the first day. The matches took place at the Gregory Street Tennis Complex in Normal, Illinois, with play scheduled to continue through the weekend, weather permitting.

Tin Ostro started strong for the Redbirds by defeating Eastern Illinois University's Pieke Bouman in a three-set match. Adrian Dibildox, Tomas Valencia, and Caden Scarlett also emerged victorious against their respective opponents. Newcomers Jett Leong and Tom Bevan added to the singles wins tally with their victories over EIU players.

In doubles competition, Illinois State achieved a 3-1 record. The duo of Ostro and Dibildox won against Bouman and Schut from Eastern Illinois. Scarlett and Valencia continued their success with an 8-1 win over Marquette's Blagoev and Ryerson. Bevan and Leong rounded out the day's play by defeating Carlin and Cauvilla of Eastern Illinois with an 8-3 scoreline.
