The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team is preparing for its third season, led by head coach Melissa Mutters and assistant coach Anthony Lunsford. Mutters expressed her anticipation for the upcoming season, stating, "This season I am looking forward to all of the tools we have been working on to implement great development in the program and team."

Senior Shea Atkins has been named team captain as she enters her final season. The roster also includes senior Alivia Catey, junior Macy Michorczyk, sophomore Laina Chavarria, and fifth-year senior Oreo Beard. Four freshmen join the team: Lexi Schwiderski, Kiera Henderson, Tarrah Phillips, and Hailey Rootberg.

The Titans have a schedule of 10 tournaments this season. Key events include two College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournaments. The first will be hosted by Augustana College on November 19-20, and the second by Elmhurst University on March 4-5. These tournaments will determine which teams advance to the CCIW Championships on March 25-26.

The team's season opener is set for October 15-16 at the Columbia 300 Shootout in Indianapolis. Later in October, they will participate in their first Lindenwood Tournament in St. Louis.

In November, after competing in their first CCIW Tournament, IWU will conclude the year at the Warhawk Open in Whitewater on December 3-4. Last year at this event, Michorczyk achieved a career-best single-game score of 169.

As they enter January's second half of the season with a return to Upper Iowa's Peacocks Classic from January 20-22, Chavarria aims to surpass her previous program-best score of 173.

February sees three competitions for IWU: hosting the CCIW Illinois Faceoff on February 4 at Pheasant Lanes; attending Flyers Classic from February 10-12; and competing at Hawk Open from February 24-26.

In March, participation in Elmhurst's CCIW Tournament could influence their standing for the championships later that month.
