After participating in their second home event, the Illinois Wesleyan University Bowling team traveled to Lockport, Illinois for a three-day tournament. The Flyer Classic, hosted by Division II Lewis University, concluded on Sunday, February 12. Competing against 19 other teams, Illinois Wesleyan finished in 20th place after 13 matches.

The competition began on Friday with five baker matches based on total pinfall. IWU faced Maryville (Mo.) University, Carroll University, Marian University, Newman University, and Augustana College. Despite losing all five matches, the team achieved its highest pinfall of 760 against Marian. Overall, the Titans accumulated a total pinfall of 3,599 across the day.

On Saturday, the format switched to five-person team games also determined by total pinfall. Senior Shea Atkins led Illinois Wesleyan with a personal total of 840 pins over five games. Freshman Kiera Henderson followed closely with a score of 791 pins. The Titans were defeated by Belmont Abbey College, Quincy University, University of Central Missouri, North Central College and Carthage College and recorded a collective score of 3,532 pins for the day.

Sunday's final day featured match play using the baker system format where IWU competed against Dominican University McKendree University and Elmhurst University. The team's efforts resulted in pinfalls of 537, 598 and 535 respectively totaling to 1,670.

Looking ahead the Green and White plan to rest before heading to Quincy Illinois for the Storm Hawk Open hosted by Division II Quincy University from February 24-26 at Casino Lanes.
