For the first time in almost two years, the Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) bowling team is preparing to host the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Illinois Faceoff. The event will take place at Pheasant Lanes in Bloomington on Saturday, February 4, starting at 10:45 a.m.

The tournament will feature participation from Augustana College, Aurora University, Elmhurst University, and North Central College. This marks only the second occasion that IWU has hosted a tournament since its program's inaugural season on February 20, 2021.

Previously, IWU competed in a three-day tournament held in St. Louis from February 27-29 at the Columbia 300 Saints Invite organized by Maryville University. During this event, freshman Kiera Henderson achieved an average pinfall of 177.67 over six traditional matches to lead her team. Henderson also set a personal record with a score of 203.

Senior Aliva Catey and junior Macy Michorczyk also recorded career-highs during the invite with game scores of 140 and 180 respectively.

The results of Saturday’s competition will be available on iwusports.com following its conclusion. Fans can follow IWU bowling updates via social media on Twitter @IWUBowling and Instagram @iwu_bowling.
