Illinois Wesleyan University's women's tennis team is set to begin its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin schedule by hosting two teams at the Evergreen Racquet Club. The team will face Augustana College on Friday, September 13, followed by a match against North Park University on Saturday, September 14.

The Illinois Wesleyan Titans have started their season with two consecutive victories. Their most recent win was against Illinois College, with a score of 5-2. Key players in this victory included freshman Gabi Lipske and sophomores Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell, along with senior Kate Christian. Ehrlich and Bell secured a win in No. 1 doubles with a score of 6-2 and also triumphed in their respective singles matches. Lipske partnered with Christian for a victory in No. 2 doubles before achieving her first individual collegiate win.

The upcoming match against Augustana will be the 34th meeting between the two teams since they first faced each other in 1989. Augustana currently leads the series with a record of 23-10. In their last encounter on September 16, 2023, Augustana defeated Illinois Wesleyan with an 8-1 scoreline.

Following this match, Illinois Wesleyan will play North Park University for the 24th time since their initial matchup in 1989. The Titans hold a favorable record of 20 wins to North Park's three losses in previous encounters. However, North Park won their last meeting on September 22, 2023, with a decisive score of 9-0.
