Illinois Wesleyan University's men's volleyball team is set to face off against Carthage College in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin matchup. The game will take place on Saturday, February 22, at the Shirk Center with the first serve scheduled for 3 p.m.
The Titans, currently holding a record of 10-5, are aiming for their first conference victory following a recent defeat by North Central College on February 18. In that match, sophomore Bryce Williams led with six kills. Brenden Reutter contributed eight assists, while Vince Dicosola added seven assists.
Williams has been a key player for the Titans this season, achieving 143 kills and averaging 3.04 kills per set. This performance ranks him fifth in the conference. Freshman Gavin Rohlwing follows with 104 kills and another player Kuziela has 92. Reutter also leads with 18 aces.
On defense, Jace Milka tops the team with 122 digs and averages 2.18 digs per set, placing him fifth in the conference rankings. Rohlwing stands out at the net with 60 blocks this year and averages 1.11 blocks per set.
This upcoming game marks the ninth meeting between IWU and Carthage since IWU's volleyball program began in 2021. Carthage has won all previous encounters including a sweep on March 27, 2024. During that match, Mike Eastman led offensively with 14 kills while Reutter had 17 assists and Williams recorded eight digs.
