Illinois Wesleyan men’s wrestling falls to Millikin; prepares for home opener

The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team lost to Millikin University with a score of 45-3 on Saturday, November 15, in Decatur, Illinois. This result brings the Titans' season record to 0-1 while Millikin improves to 2-0.

Millikin secured victories in the 125 and 133-pound weight classes before Austin Johnston of Illinois Wesleyan earned a win against Nathan Barbee. Johnston won by an 18-12 decision, bringing his career record to 36-29 and improving to 3-2 for the current season. Johnston had previously reached the quarterfinals at last week's Millikin Open.

Illinois Wesleyan will compete again on Monday, November 17, hosting North Central College, which is ranked tenth nationally. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m., following the IWU women's wrestling match against the Cardinals.
