The Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) men's and women's track and field teams have achieved notable recognition with four of their athletes being named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Second-Team All-America honorees. The announcement was made on March 11 by the USTFCCCA.

Sophomores Adriana Crabtree from Normal, Illinois, and Evan Lowder from Bloomington, Illinois, along with freshmen Adam Beasley also from Bloomington, and Imani Ogunribido from Hanover Park, Illinois, earned this accolade following their performances at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

According to the recently revised criteria by the USTFCCCA, athletes who finish in the top eight of individual events or relays are awarded First-Team All-America honors. Those placing ninth through sixteenth individually or participating in ninth or tenth place relays receive second team honors.

Crabtree distinguished herself as IWU's first Second Team All-America honoree after securing a 13th-place finish in the women's mile with a time of 5:01.83. Lowder finished ninth in the men's 400-meter dash with his best time of 48.70 seconds recorded during Friday's preliminary round.

Beasley achieved a ninth-place finish in the men's high jump, tying with three others at a height of 1.99 meters (6'6.25"). Ogunribido secured her spot as an All-America honoree by finishing 15th overall in the women's triple jump with a leap measuring 11.63 meters (38'2").

In total, twenty student-athletes from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin earned All-America honors at these championships. IWU's four honorees represent the second-highest number among CCIW schools, following Carthage's six.

Looking ahead, IWU will compete next at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on March 15-16.
