Self-service electronics recycling will be available for McLean County residents on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Town of Normal Public Works facility located at 1301 Warriner St., Normal, Illinois. This drop-off service is also offered on the first Saturday morning of each month. In addition to these times, residents can use the regular self-service electronics recycling drop-off Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Residents are instructed to follow signage inside the building that shows where different types of electronics should be placed. Items accepted include computers, monitors, electronic keyboards, televisions, scanners, fax machines, copiers, cell phones, video recorders, cameras and more. The devices do not need to be in working condition.

Items containing Freon—such as mini refrigerators and dehumidifiers—are not accepted at this location. An updated list of acceptable items is available on the Town’s website at normalil.gov/elecRecycle.

The program is only open to McLean County residents; businesses and people living outside McLean County cannot use this service. Residents are reminded not to leave equipment outside during closed hours.

For more information about the Town of Normal’s electronics recycling program or accessibility accommodations for town services and events, visit normalil.gov/elecRecycle or call Public Works at 309-454-9571 during business hours (Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.). The Town states: "The Town of Normal wants all residents to be able to participate equally in Town efforts and initiatives. We welcome your feedback."
